DOOR OF HOPE
As meal donors we prepare meals and engage with families, serve as tutors in the After School program, participate in graduations, and support holiday celebrations and events in the service of families experiencing homelessness.
Pasadena High School
We provide breakfast for the staff on their Monday morning meetings, financial support for pizzas for 150-300 students at their Young Life gatherings, and help bring a registration team twice a year to smooth out student registration.
Casa de Dios
Twice a year, we spend a weekend building houses and sharing Jesus’ love in the outskirts of Tijuana, Mexico.
Throughout the year, we stuff backpacks, raise awareness, help prevent exploitation and serve survivors of human trafficking in our area.
Christ Church Garden Team
On selected Saturdays, we dig in the dirt to bring joy, beauty and conversation to all those who pass by the church garden.
Walter Hoving Home
We join others in rebuilding women’s lives shattered by drugs, alcohol and other life-controlling problems.
Pregnancy Help Center - Temple City and Duarte
We join those who provide counseling and support for moms and their babies, and help collect baby bottles and baby clothes, 12 months to 2T.
We build caring friendships with and provide physical assistance for our friends with disabilities across the street from our church.
Mommy and Me
We provide activities, play, and classes for Moms and their preschoolers, sharing friendship in English, Japanese and Chinese.
A residence for pregnant women in crisis and their children. We join others in committing to end the cycle of homelessness and abuse through comprehensive support; spiritual mentoring, life skills training, counseling and prenatal care.
Gidley Elementary School
We have a crew of volunteers from our church fellowship who are serving as classroom volunteers at Gidley School, an elementary school which draws students from under-resourced neighborhoods in El Monte — helping students with their reading, writing, and math skills.
